The practice, innovation and certification of a profession require a standard/guide for its execution. The Indian Infrastructure Body of Knowledge (InBoK) is a unique and infrastructure-focused technical baseline established on program and project management practices in India that serves as the ultimate Indian standard for program and project management of infrastructure projects.
Developed by a diverse pool of experts from industry, academia, public sector enterprises and other stakeholders of Indian infrastructure, the InBoK is a technical guidebook that imbibes the best practices in program and project management from leading experts, basic principles of international standards for program/project management like ISO, AACE, etc., and contextualises it for the Indian infrastructure landscape.
Organized around Baseline-Approach of program/project execution, the purpose of InBoK is to provide guidance on concepts and processes of program and project management that are important for and have an impact on the performance of projects and the outcomes of programs.
Encompassing all the phases of a program/project and acts as a guide every step of the way. InBoK shall be a guide for all stakeholders of infrastructure development in India, including professionals, practitioners, trainers and institutes as the ultimate Indian Standard for the profession and its practice.
Program success depends on the successful execution of constituent projects and more importantly on their interface and integration for assuring overall program outcomes. This linkage is established in the InBoK in every chapter. InBoK encompasses best practices of program and project management and retains the essential connection between programs and projects.
The target readership for InBoK is diverse.
